The scholarship provides financial aid for “2021/2022 NTU Exchange Students” who are financially or culturally disadvantaged.
The College of Bioresources & Agriculture has announced the “2021/2022 NTU Exchange Student Program.” Students who are eligible and intend to apply for the program at college level can refer to the “Hope Voyage Scholarship” information below. Once a student is selected for the exchange program and eligible for the scholarship, he/she will have a chance to be recommended by the College to the Office of International Affairs to receive the “Hope Voyage Scholarship.”
Students who are interested: please submit the application of “Hope Voyage Scholarship” within the deadline.

1. Eligibility Criteria:
Students who are selected into the exchange student program and expected to exchange for a semester in 2021 (not including in-service programs and joint dual degree) must also fit in one of the following categories:
A. Financially Disadvantaged (at least one of the two criteria)
1) Government granted low and middle-income status
2) Total Household income:
a. Total household income below NTD 800,000.
b. Total interest income below NTD 10,000.
c. Total profit below NTD 50,000.
B. Culturally Disadvantaged:
1) No college graduates in the past three generation, meaning none of a student’s great grandparents, grandparents, and parents graduated from colleges.
2) New immigrants or their children
3) Taiwanese Indigenous People
4) People who fall into one of the above three criteria must also fit the following conditions:
a. Total household income below NTD 1,200,000.
b. Total interest income below NTD 10,000.
c. Total profit below NTD 50,000.
C. Students who are not ROC citizens and have foreign government approved low-income status documents.

3. Scholarship Amount:
Please refer to attachment 1. For schools that are in countries not listed in the template, the Office of International Affairs will determine the amount.
4. Applications:
Students who are eligible must submit application forms to Room 315 of the College of Bioresources & Agriculture Building by noon, 2021/2/26.
5. Review Process:
The candidate will be selected by a Review Committee.
6. Winner:
The winner of the scholarship will be announced on the website of Office of International Affairs by 2021/4/30. A notification will be sent separately to the college contact and the student.
7. Scholarship Collection:
(1) A student can apply for multiple exchange scholarships but can only receive one.
(2) If the foreign school provides a scholarship, a student must use that scholarship. If this scholarship is more than what the foreign school provides, a student can receive the difference.
(3) Scholarship Collection Order:
a. Scholarship provided by the International Education and Exchange Division.
b. Scholarship provided by foreign school.
c. Country, Region, or Field specific scholarship.
d. NTU Foreign exchange scholarship, Hope Voyage Scholarship.
